How good is Bastion?  I think I started it and sorted got stuck/confused  then stopped and haven't gone back.

I thought it was a genuinely brilliant game.  Fun combat, fantastic soundtrack, interesting story and way its told.

Most people love it. It tends to evoke fanboyish levels of adoration in people.

I thought it was poop myself and it has been relegated to my trash category in Steam.

Aim low. Less chance of disappointment. More chance of a nutshot.

I'm looking for smaller/indie games to play in the next few months.  I'll put this back on the "to try" list.  With others such as Fez, Super Meat Boy (again) and some others.

The good: Art style looks great. Ocean travel made the world feel appropriately large and open-ended and full of stuff to discover.

The bad: The open-endedness made the Triforce Quest one of the most tedious sequences I've played in a game in recent memory. Framerate drops when effects were on screen were awful.

All in all, I think I liked OoT better, although that could well be because it was my first Zelda, and the formula hadn't had an opportunity to get old.

Only two and a half months left now.  Definitely starting to panic.  That said I'm looking forward to playing both LEGO and games with the little guy, along with all the other things that are surely going to be amazing.

It's legit to count this as a separate entry because I played the original and bought the expansion before they were integrated into one release, right?

The levels seemed harder than what I remembered from Trine 2, and I'm not sure if they were designed around usage of the new Low Gravity arrow. Beyond that, though, it's more of the same thing, which isn't a bad thing.

Game completion

1. Sigils of Elohim 16 January
2. The Talos Principle 19 January.
3. CoD Ghosts 11 February

100%

1. The Talos Principle 8 Feb
2. CoD Ghosts 17 Feb

Hitting 100% in Ghosts wasn't too bad, its only the SP content which means playing through the annoying veteran mode, doing a few random things and not too many annoying things to pull off.

I'm now 1 thing off my target in Feb only :P

Didn't play through all the planets; just two routes for the true ending.

More fun than I expected, given how old the game is.

100% CGs collected.

It bothers me that I can't recommend Kara no Shoujo to everyone on account of content matter, because it's an amazing VN. Outside of how despair-inducing it is and how tacked-on a couple of the sex scenes were, the only real quibble I had was with how easy it is to reach dead ends because of missing clues earlier. A walkthrough is strongly suggested.

The Kotaku review does the game justice. Give it a read.
