The wording of the announcement makes it sound like the bar for submitting a game is going to be higher, though.

I didn't get that out of it. Like, pay them money, get your shovelware published.

I guess that might be possible, but my expectation was that the move from $100 for an unlimited number of Greenlight submissions to a fixed deposit per submission. Then again, given the seeming willingness of people to buy complete garbage just because it's cheap, maybe it won't be as much of an obstruction as I'd have hoped.

I picked up Galactic Civilizations III recently, but I haven't spent too much quality time with it yet. I'm too busy hunting rainbow goblins in D3. Send help!

Been playing a lot of Path of Exile, Battle Brothers and Rimworld.  All good games  in their own way.

Rimworld is great.

On my end, I'm pretty much just playing Black Desert Online these days. Coupled with a bit of Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Just biding time until Mass Effect Andromeda. Then Prey in May. And Nier: Automata if I can squeeze that into the budget somewhere along the line.

And June... June is Morrowind. Hnnnnngggggghhhh!

Still going through Witcher 3 here, in what I guess must be more or less the middle of the last expansion, Blood and Wine.

I love the game, but clearly some games are now TOO LONG for me, and Witcher 3 was in that category, I've been at it since late October.

I'm planning to start the Witcher 3 once I've finished the books and the final one is released this month! By the sounds of things it'll take me an entire year to complete!

One set of cherry picked stats proves nothing though.  I haven't even heard of the 2nd game.  I'm well aware of gripes with the first one.

ME:A the "western" game you can't play a white chick
PS4 game: the japanese game where you can't play a character that actually looks Japanese or Asian.

It's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison.  They target very different gaming experiences.  I generally have preferred JRPGs in the past but I've not been so impressed recently. I think the last one that had me thoroughly gripped was Xenoblade Chronicles.  That said, on the crpg side I'm definitely more of a fan of the more directed adventure like Dragon Age 1 or witcher 2 than I am by this newish fascination with open worlds with tonnes to do but it's all kind of mediocre. I'm sure to start Witcher 3 soon so I'll be interested to see how I get on with it.

i think the real problem here is taking a twitter meme derived from a clickbait title seriously
