Bioware Games / Re: Mass Effect: Andromeda

By all accounts the game is much more of a sandbox game, which the original series was nothing of the sort.  Can't wait to create my first character tonight.  I think it unlocks at 9pm for me.

Meh. It's RPS. I wouldn't take anything they say about a Bioware game seriously.

All my friends who are actually playing the game already have all reported having shitloads of fun.

I have it pre-loaded ready to play later tonight.

But yes, it has been getting some rough reviews.

I am now level 35 and I am playing a Commando/Luck/Explosive build.  Critical Banker is not working for me as VATS seems to suck.  I only get two bursts of my automatic in VATS.  Bloody mess and Better Criticals are good, as is Idiot Savant.  As a whole Commando is not a great choice for Survival because of the ammo needs.  Now that I have Spray n Pray though I am doing well and at times it is is pretty loltastic.  I have had ferals reach about 30 feet in the air.  That combined with the points I have in explosive are pretty outrageous.  Unfortunately I cannot use that weapon for close in fighting as it will kill me with all the explosions.

With Andromeda coming out this character might hit the shelf for a while.

New Tristram: Diablo III / Re: First Look at Patch 2.50

Armory = good for sure.

Primals should have been something like Uber Weapons far, far beyond the power of current Ancients that could only be worn, not cubed. They should be powerful enough to create additional build opportunities beyond sets, all respect to LoN, but more build diversity = more fun.

And then we could fill that armory right to the brim.

I'm really looking forward to the Armory, especially now that I'm sharing the account with Mrs. Orbert.  One character per class, up to five builds, sounds awesome.

First attempt is going to be an in place migration to simply a fresh install, and see if that resolves issues.  I have a feeling Dreamhost itself has some buggery with it's mail servers that might require a bit more finaggling, but, here's hoping for a (speedy compared to the usual pace of things) implementation.  This -SHOULD- not disappear during any of this.   It may merely suddenly appear to be a new forum.   -I WILL- have a link to where all of this is hosted there, maybe not immediately, but not deleting anything.

Yeah, Boss Mode was very easy with a coordinated team. Having voice chat really helped as well. We did it with just 3 people, and had plenty of time to spare. Doing it with 4 people would be even easier.
